Eternal memory

inSep 16, 2021

It is always difficult to realize the death of a person. Especially when it influenced your life and vision at some point. Therefore, on August 11, the International Scientific and Technical University remembered the memory Roland-Olexander Tarasovych Franko.

Franko's activities managed to touch the diplomatic sphere, engineering and science, the influence on civil society and, of course, the popularization of Ivan Franko's work. The same Frank, whose literary collections are studied with delight and trepidation not only at school extracurricular reading. Roland Tarasovych was the grandson of the Ukrainian "Stonesmith" and during his life he did everything to increase the interest in his grandfather's creative heritage. It was he who initiated the creation of the International Ivan Franko Foundation, the purpose of which is still aimed at supporting the development of Ukrainian studies and social and humanities, promoting and popularizing the scientific and creative work of Ivan Franko.

After receiving his education in Lviv and Kyiv, Franko managed to pass all positions, from research assistant to deputy general director, working at the Kyiv Institute of Automation; to experience the atmosphere of international service as a science advisor at the Embassy of Ukraine in Great Britain. He also managed to influence the course of ISTU's history. After all, in 1997-2001, Mr. Franko was the vice-president, and later - the head of the international relations department (until 2008), and then the consultant to the president of the International Scientific and Technical University named after Academician Y. Bugai.

A person does not go into oblivion until the moment when he is remembered, until the things and actions that he managed to do during his lifetime "speak". The activity of Mr. Franko is still alive today. And we are sure that it will be around for a long time.

The team also remembers Roland Frank's significant contribution to
development of ISTU activities and pays tribute to bright memory!
