    My name is Sofia and I want to tell you a little bit about myself first.

    I come from Khmelnytskyi, the small, glorious city of Izyaslav, where I graduated from the 9th grade of the lyceum and later began to study management, first at school, then at university. Now I am studying in the third year of university. I really like studying at the university, so I decided to add color to the university with my activities in student self-government.

    In my opinion, the role of student government is to make the university something more than just a formal institution in which you have to spend many hours every day. Every student should have the opportunity to realize their interests, regardless of whether they are related to culture, science or sports. I believe that the Student Council of our university should play a fundamentally important role in the interaction between individual students and the educational system itself.

    I consider my main goals as the President of the ISTU Student Council to be:

    • Increasing the level of trust in the Student Council on the part of students;
    • Support of student initiative in the organization of events of various directions;
    • Improving the quality of the Council's information sector;
    • Continuation of the organization and improvement of the quality of already traditional events of our university, such as "Miss and Mr. ISTU", "Dedication of freshmen", etc.;
    • Helping students identify and resolve possible conflicts between students and teachers;
    • Improving interaction with various programs and projects related to volunteering.

    Program

    candidate for the position

    Heads of the Student Council of the ZVO "International Scientific and Technical University named after Academician Yuriy Bugai"

    Ganja Danylo Mykolayovych

    student of the 2nd year of the K-21 group

    Pre-election program:

    1. Organization of <<Thematic Days>>. Everyone in this world improves their skills differently, everyone has them differently, everyone is individual and different! But when it comes to emotional burnout, almost everyone experiences the same emotions: Apathy, lack of interest in something, emotional instability, depression, and other unpleasant things that interfere with productivity. As a candidate, I propose the idea of thematic days, when after classes everyone can gather in a team and do useful, interesting and fun things! It can be the subject of a holiday, it can be a Sabbath day, or it can be an ordinary circle of interests in which you can share your emotions and knowledge on a day dedicated to the field in which the student is studying.

    2. Improvement of leadership qualities, self-esteem, desire to learn among students. Not all people seek society or avoid it altogether because they have certain reasons. As a candidate, I propose to create special conditions for such people in Self-Government, various events and activities so that they are interested in university life. For this, I suggest choosing a person who will help them adapt and adjust in any business, this field will be called <<motivator>>. He will be elected by members of the Self-Government based on various criteria, for example:

    1) Friendliness.

    2) Openness to dialogue.

    3) Restraint.

    4) The ability to get out of stressful situations and help a person.

    5) The ability to have a common language with students who always stay away or behave too quietly.

    There can be two motivators, and they can also take two assistants with them.

    Thus, a reserved and polite person will gradually help to adapt to society and get involved in the life of the university.

    3. Raising interest in Ukrainian culture, language and history among students. We are living now in a historical time, when the interest in our country in the world is extremely high, but unfortunately, not everyone in our society understands this and is not very willing to accept Ukrainian, native, their own, and are still looking for something better, something far away.

    Therefore, I propose a system of non-aggressive Ukrainization of the youth, because during the entire time of the full-scale invasion, I have more than once observed a tendency when one youth tries to teach another in an aggressive tone, thus repelling any desire to do something. This system will work like this:

    Modern trends, memes, moments - > Modern music - > Encouraging people to learn about the history of Ukraine not in a boring school way, but in a more interactive way (themed days, improvised performances, real stories of people who visited ORDLO, on the Maidan, etc.) - > Creation of Tik -Tok channel from our university where the past item will be shown in all its glory, so we can encourage more people from our university and college, encourage applicants and cause a slight friendly envy in others.

    4. Tik Tok account with humor, gatherings and recordings of thematic days (said a little in the paragraph above). It is now 2023, who among the youth is not sitting in Tik Tok? I believe that this is a very good idea and a driver for students to be interested in self-government, and not consider it <<something boring, stuffy and steamy>>, unfortunately, many people have such a clichéd opinion.

    5. Student life. What is the secret of this item? Unfortunately, some outdated moments have not left us, for example <<Hazing>>, when seniors somehow mock the first, applicants and others. Bullying is a cancer in every institution where there are many people, and unfortunately, it is practically impossible to fight it. But, you can relax. Thanks to activities, thematic days, socialization of introverts, motivators, all this can be relaxed a little. When you work in a team, the people around you for a while become almost not family, so this is a very good way out of such situations.

    I believe that every student can and should contact us if they have problems, from problems with some subject (I will return to this point a little later) or for mental help/help with bullying, because there is no need to destroy student life, there is no need cross out <the best years of life>.

    As for help, I propose to introduce a system of <helpers>, volunteers from senior years who will be able to help those who do not have time to digest information or have problems with one of the subjects. And no, it's not legalizing writing off or creating work for a person (that's what ChatGPT is for), it's just helping the student catch up on what they missed or didn't understand.

    6. Simulation of organizations. It would be cool to sometimes visit a UN congressman, an auditor or a journalist (by the way, it would be very good for Tik-Tok), such things can greatly motivate a person to participate in the team, and new friends are always cool!
