Workshop on the development and integration of an IT course with elements of cyber security

On May 18-19, 2021, ISTU scientists led by the head of the department
of computer science and software engineering by Artem
Moskalenko participated in the second seminar on IT development and integration
course with elements of cyber security, which was organized under the program of the Foundation
civil research and development of the United States of America (CRDF
Global) in partnership with Purdue University, USA. The main goal of the project
- strengthening of local potential for training specialists on the issues
cyber security through the initiative and teaching of training programs.

At the event, A. Moskalenko presented the work developed at the department
of the discipline "Security of information systems", which acquaints applicants
of higher education ISTU with modern methods and means of information
security The main goal of the discipline is to train capable specialists
to analyze, choose, competently apply security measures
information security and data integrity in accordance with the resolutions
applied tasks.

        Within two days, ISTU representatives received
recommendations for improvement and adaptation of this course according to
international standards, hybrid threats and best global practices from
mentors from Ukrainian universities, experts and researchers from
Purdue University, USA.
