On April 17-18, 2024, students of the Vocational College and the International Scientific and Technical University named after Academician Yuriy Bugai participated in the workshop "Your Internationalization". The speaker of the event, Anastasia Pylypchenko, a specialist in the international relations and development department, introduced the participants to the international dimension of education and science - the labyrinth of strategies and opportunities that the globalization of education opens up for them.
The students not only gained a deep understanding of the concepts of internationalization and academic mobility, but were also inspired to exchange experiences, knowledge and skills, noting the important role of the cultural component in their development. They noted that the workshop introduced them to new perspectives and horizons and realized how important it is to be an active participant in these processes.
An important aspect of the workshop was the opportunity to get acquainted with the concept of academic mobility and various exchange programs. The participants noted that they had no experience of participating in international academic mobility programs until now. However, the information about current study opportunities at universities, as well as scholarship programs and international cooperation projects motivated them to become more actively involved in them in the future.
Internationalization is no longer a secondary concept, but an important part of the global strategy for the development of higher education. Universities should not only share knowledge with students, but also prepare them to interact with global society and successfully adapt to changes.
ISTU is convinced that the internationalization of education opens the door to new opportunities for students and teachers, contributing not only to the personal growth of participants, but also to the development of society as a whole. The workshop "Your Internationalization" became an important step on this path.
