Recently, the rector of the Academician Yury Bugai International Scientific and Technical University, Veronika Yuryivna Khudoley, attended the report-election conference of the Ukrainian Peace Council, one of the important Ukrainian institutions. At it, the delegates planned to elect a new chairman and approve an action program that would meet the new challenges facing Ukraine.

For information, it is worth noting that the Ukrainian Peace Council began to function in 1951, when the Ukrainian Republican Committee for the Protection of Peace was created. However, already after gaining independence, the committee was reformatted into the modern UKR (Ukrainian Peace Council).

Today, the main direction of the institution can be expressed as follows: "...if you want peace, work for Victory. This is what our country is currently doing on the battlefield, as well as on the diplomatic, cultural, and informational fronts."

At the meeting, the delegates listened to the report of the Presidium of the URM, elected a new Presidium, an audit commission and an advisory council of the Presidium. And also (unanimously) a new chairman of the Ukrainian Peace Council was elected.

"Each of us today has a single desire — to achieve a just peace based on the "Ukrainian peace formula" and rebuild a successful, sovereign Ukraine. I hope that collegial work in accordance with these aspirations will bring us a great and desirable result. With my team, I will try to do everything possible to accumulate the best ideas and thoughts" - noted the newly elected head of the URM Mykhailo Zgurovskyi.

It is important that ISTU, as a representative of the cluster of high-quality domestic education, in the face of the rector - Veronika Yuriivna Khudoley - should be visible at such valuable and important gatherings. After all, this active social position of the university represents the attitude of the ISTU team to contemporary issues.

UKR will continue to conduct active activities. In particular, soon - on May 8, the institution plans to take part in an international UNESCO event. As Mykhailo Zgurovsky said, it will be attended by UNESCO departments from all over the world, which have the struggle for peace among their program activities.
