ISTU congratulates Ukrainians on Vyshyvanka Day!

inMay 18, 2023

Every year on the third Thursday of May, Ukraine celebrates Vyshyvanka Day. This year, the holiday falls on May 18. That is why the International Scientific and Technical University named after Academician Yuriy Bugai congratulates every Ukrainian on this symbolic holiday.

Ukrainian embroidery is an ancient symbol of our native values and traditions. Embroidery is not only red crosses and curly stitches on fabric. This is the memory of our ancestors, the established and preserved cultural code, belief in the magical properties of patterns. After all, that is why each region of Ukraine had its own way of composing compositions from flowers or geometric elements.

Let every Ukrainian woman and man find their own flowered shirt, in which the memory and traditions of the family will be woven. After all, it is our national memory that the occupiers are trying to destroy.

And if the embroidered shirt is a symbol of a powerful amulet,

Today, a pixel is a kind of angry embroidery.

Happy holiday, Ukrainians!
