inNov 26, 2022

International Scientific and Technical University named after Academician Yuriy Bugai joins the entire Ukrainian community in the annual commemoration of Holodomor Victims Memorial Day. This year, the national memorial date falls on November 26. Traditionally, Ukrainians place symbolic pots of grain and candles at monuments to victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine. Or they simply light a lamp next to the window to show: "We remember the terrible events of history, we say, we reflect and we will never forget it."

"As 90 years ago, today Russia pursues the same goal as during the Holodomor - the destruction of Ukrainian identity and the Ukrainian nation."

"However, we know that our memory of past crimes must be alive and honest in order to prevent genocide in the future," the department emphasizes."

At 16:00 p.m., Ukrainians are invited to light a candle in the window and join the National Minute of Silence.

We remember about the terrible genocide of the Ukrainian people!

Let's fight so that history never repeats itself again!
